General Policies and Procedures
Milcom Cancellation, Refund, and Transfer Policy
Milcom is committed to ensuring all students are aware of their rights regarding cancellations, refunds, and transfers, in accordance with the Standards for RTOs 2015 (Clauses 5.3 & 7.3).
1. Cancellation Fees
Students who wish to cancel their enrolment will be charged as follows:
(Note: When working out the days prior to course commencement, the actual start date of the course is not included )

Refunds will be processed within 15 working days of receiving the cancellation request and returned via the original payment method (bank transfer or credit/debit card).
2. Transfers
Students may transfer once between courses, venues, or dates, provided:
– Notice is given (More than) ≥ 5 business days before course commencement
– Eligibility and course prerequisites are met for the new course
Additional transfers will incur an administration fee. Students must contact MILCOM to confirm fees.
3. RTO-Initiated Changes
Milcom reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change course dates or venues, including courses that do not meet minimum enrolments.
Where industry training package updates affect a course, Milcom’s Teach Out and Transition Policy will apply. Students may be required to transfer into a new course.
4. Student Support
Students can contact Milcom ‘s Administration Team for clarification regarding refunds, transfers, or any part of this policy.
Unique Student Identifier (USI) Policy
In accordance with the Student Identifiers Act 2014 (Cth), all students undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia are required to have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Milcom is authorised to collect, verify, create (where applicable), store, and use USIs for the purposes of:
– Reporting student enrolment and achievement data to the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER)
– Issuing Qualifications and Statements of Attainment
– Meeting obligations under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015
USIs are handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and relevant data protection requirements. Reasonable steps are taken to ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of all personal information collected.
Students are encouraged to create their own USI via the official USI Registry System. Assistance can be provided upon request.
Late Arrival / Non-Attendance
Students arriving late may not be allowed into class, and no refunds or rescheduling will be provided. Students who arrive late or miss any days of training are required to undertake a catch-up session with the instructor. A charge of $600 per session applies for each day missed.
Dress Code
Courses are conducted in a simulated work environment; students must wear appropriate attire, including closed shoes or boots. Sandals or thongs are not permitted. Milcom reserves the right to cancel enrolments for non-compliance with the dress code. No refund will be provided for cancellations due to non-compliance.

– Allocate training and assessment places at its discretion
– Full upfront payment is required at the time of enrolment.
